Merry Christmas Everyone
The final competition of the year - the GP national championships. A Christmas, Covid affair with no spectators.
Congratulations to Dannie Morgan and Lucy Amy for getting there, although Lucy didn’t in the end as she is in Tier 4 so couldn't go at the last minute.
Both in their first year of GP, never having ridden at that level before on horses they trained up from the start.
Usual wet day at Wellington! Well done to these pupils who either won or were second in their classes from Novice, Medium, Advanced Medium, INT 11 and GP.
Hampshire , Berkshire and Australia .
Christmas has come early at one Indoor I teach at - to cheer everyone up while we are still in Lockdown over here 😊
One pupil managed to sneak off and qualify on the last day before lockdown to Belmoredean. Winning both Novice classes by 7% and 5%.
Well done Sharon Power finishing on 76% in one class.
I now have the right equipment !
Much clearer picture, no need for WiFi anymore and I am getting better with available technology! The moment your lesson is finished you have a copy of your complete lesson with sound waiting in your inbox😊
A round up of the last couple of weeks of competition winners - who braved the elements but got some great scores in the process of up to 78%.
Well done. Lisa Morgan. Mandy Towle. Liz Killick. Dannie Morgan.👏👏
I can’t wait to use this 3/4 length coat in the most amazing bronze colour with detachable fur collar.
Love these coats you just stuff them in the washing machine and tumble dry them. Smart but easy maintenance!!
Thank you Shaws Equestrian and Pikeur.
Always an exciting time of year when the Shaws Equestrian parcel arrives. Thank you for always providing with the best products. No wet or cold winter ahead for me!
Pikeur always was and still is the best!👌😍
Dannie secured the 6yr old Young Horse Champsionship on his own and Nicky Callam's High Hoes Estelle.
A delighted Dannie said’ “I’m so excited – for me but also Nicky, her breeder and co-owner. Nicky isn’t a large scale breeder but concentrates on quality and mixing ideal bloodlines. Estelle is very big and has taken time but in the last six months she’s really found some strength. My trainer Nicky Barratt has really helped bring her on and she’s already showing a talent for piaffe and the collected work. Nicky has her full sibling due next year which will be exciting.” - @urodressage
congratulations to Mandy Towle - Who did and won her first advanced.
- Zoe Harrison - Advanced Medium
- Scarlet Harter - who won her section eventing, finishing on her dressage score.
- Nanette Spence - Int 11. Silver
- Lucy Amy - Int 11. Gold
And a large G&T for me!🤣
Having postponed twice I decided to just get on with it. It was not the wedding I had planned, sad not to have family and friends with us.
It was a fun day with amazing weather in sunny Devon - party and celebrations next year, due to COVID
While I was away getting married pupils were out winning with some great percentages!

With more competitions getting underway again this week, it was good to see pupils out winning and gaining their qualifications. Always nice to get that out of the way early on.
